TAT® can help clear your debris! (Essential Wellness March 2008)
Judy Steele MTP
Most of us are still carrying around traumas, patterns, and beliefs about ourselves that we acquired in childhood….plus everything that has happened since. Over a lifetime, that gets to be a lot of heavy emotional baggage. It gets in the way of our accomplishing things we might like to do, and it even contributes to physical illnesses. But we really don’t have to keep carrying all that debris with us everywhere we go; energy psychology and energy medicine approaches can help us leave our baggage behind.
My favorite energy psychology modality is Tapas Acupressure Technique (TAT)®. It involves holding certain points on your own head while directing your attention to the issue that needs to be cleared and following a series of easy steps. It is very easy and gentle, yet very powerful and effective. You can do it by yourself or with the assistance of a skilled practitioner. You can even get free instructions online: click the “Learn TAT” tab on www.tatlife.com . (For big traumas and other major issues, it’s a good idea to have a skilled person assisting you.)
TAT® was discovered by acupuncturist Tapas Fleming in 1993. Since then it has been used, as she says, by “tens of thousands of people for hundreds of thousands of problems”—and the people now using TAT® span the globe. It was used in Indonesia to assist people who survived the tsunami, it is being used with psychiatric patients in France, and it is being used for clearing the traumas of battered women and war veterans in many countries. On the TATLife website, there are first-person stories of people’s remarkable successes with using TAT® for traumas, sexual abuse, allergies, weight loss, depression, relationships, physical conditions, natural disasters…and also for abundance and success.
How can it possibly work so well for all these big issues? The answer is that it’s working skillfully and effectively with the energy body. At that level it’s easy to make shifts that just aren’t possible with physical and mental modalities. That’s what’s different—and that’s what makes the difference.
